TOO SUBTLE

Another common report is that the sensory experience you focus on may be very subtle to detect. Subtle is enough to work with in a mindfulness practice. There is no need to have a particular kind of experience. You just need to focus on whatever you happen to notice and let go of any expectation or judgment.

With some sensory experiences, the more you focus on them, the more you can detect them, and they no longer appear subtle. It takes more Concentration, Sensory Clarity and Inner Balance skills to become aware of something subtle. Subtle sensory experiences can actually be highly significant and may lead to meaningful insight.
