Feel

Feel your emotional sensations

  • you can feel emotional sensations such as joy, pleasure, happiness, fulfillment, contentment, satisfaction, disgust, irritation, upset, sadness, depression or fear

  • you can feel emotional sensations in your chest, upper belly, lower abdomen, face, throat or shoulders, for example

  • you can also detect an absence of emotional activity in the body (emotional peace)

Feel your physiological and physical sensations

  • you can feel physical sensations in the body such as pressure, pain, cold, hot, vibration

  • you can feel poorly differentiated sensations in the body

  • for simplicity, Taste & Smell are included in this category

Let’s do an experiment. Can you feel your chest that expands and contracts every time you inhale and exhale? These are physical sensations. Can you think about someone that you love? You can visualize this person or pet in your mind or you can say the name. Now bring your awareness in your body and feel if you detect any pleasant positive sensations of love in the body. If not, that’s ok! Not everybody is able to detect emotional sensations.
